Federal Government

The problem of federal agency communications interoperability becomes widely apparent any time a major disaster occurs or when agencies are required to cooperate in other law enforcement matters. When federal agencies, first responders and other non-government organizations (NGOs) converge on the scene, often they find their radios can't communicate with one another. The effects and impact of communications interoperability are many and substantial, often resulting in poor information flow, bad decision-making and greater risk to life and property.

WAVE-powered solutions can address communication incompatibility within the Federal Government by creating a system-of-systems to unite disparate technologies.

Homeland security and law enforcement agencies continue to seek cost-effective solutions to communications interoperability among the numerous agencies who would respond to large-scale terrorism incidents or emergencies. Deployed by the US Army and other large scale State-wide interoperability projects, WAVE enables the effective management of disparate devices, users and user policies to create a single, secure and highly scalable unified communications environment.

With limited government funding available to support large scale Federal and State interoperability projects, the inevitable truth is that only software can deliver on the promise of widespread communications interoperability – hardware based solutions are just too expensive and too limited in capability to meet the challenge.  Only software can offer an immediate and fully inclusive solution to the problem of communication interoperability and at a fraction of the cost of proprietary hardware alternatives.

Hardware-centric communications interoperability solutions are enormously expensive to acquire and maintain, are proprietary in nature and typically deliver benefits only to a small group of users directly involved in the project.

Trusted by the Military

Military users around the world are using WAVE technology everyday to create secure and highly scalable communications environments that facilitate greater situational awareness and promote the rapid acquisition and dissemination of information.   Federal Government agencies often have similar operational needs to the military, requiring a communications capability that promotes cross-agency collaboration.

Scalability and Reliability

WAVE software addresses the critical need for secure and reliable communications between multiple large government agencies. With almost no limits to the size of a WAVE-enabled network, system managers can quickly configure WAVE to support any network type or user, enabling full communications interoperability across multicast, unicast and mixed-mode networks while keeping bandwidth requirements to a minimum.

Highly Cost-Effective

WAVE technology leverages software to deliver advanced communications capability at a fraction of the cost of expensive and propriety hardware solutions.
